At DE23 Active, we believe that anyone with passion and purpose can become a great coach. That’s why we’re dedicated to supporting local people—especially those from underrepresented communities—to upskill, gain experience, and step confidently into coaching roles.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your existing skills, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

💬 No Experience? No Problem.

We welcome individuals of all experience levels, especially those who may never have seen themselves as coaches before. If you’re passionate about helping others and willing to learn, we’ll help you every step of the way.

We particularly support:

• Women looking to lead in sport and physical activity
   

• People with English as a second language
   

• Those with no prior coaching qualifications
   

• Community members with lived experience or a desire to give back
   

🎓 How We Support You

DE23 Active offers a full pathway to help you become a confident community coach, including:

• Access to training courses and coaching qualifications
   

• Help with DBS checks, safeguarding, and first aid
   

• Volunteer opportunities to build experience
   

• Support from experienced mentors and trainers
   

• Referrals into apprenticeships and other development programmes
